A Selection Of The Services We Provide
Closed Boarded or Solid Base
These bases were designed to pack a machine weighing 26tonne
Open Base (heavy duty pallet)
Although open bases look like your average pallet, they have the capacity to take a substancially heavier weight due to the heavy timbers incorporated into the boards, runners and skids.
OSB base ply case: Made with OSB (Oriented Strand Board), therefore is the ligher choice for cases. The Ply case is either supplied with all sides secured and tacked lid to enable packing from the top or with a side and lid tacked if requested. Once packed, the nails can be driven home.
Timber base (machine base) ply case: As the name suggests the base is constructed of timber and can be delivered 'flat pack'. This would allow you to land your item on the supplied base and build the sides up around it.
Closed Boarded Timber Case
A closed boarded timber case is ideal for:
Sea freight: They can be internally lined with poly lining which prevents moisture ingress while at sea. If the unit being packed is out-of-gauge (unable to fit in a container), this would be essential.
Heavy machinery: Being a more solid structure than the Ply Case, these are suitable to enclose units from 500kg upwards for durability and packing strength.
Open Boarded Crate
Ordinary crates: These are supplied with the lid unsecured to enable packing from above.
Machine base crates: These can be supplied 'flat pack' in order to land your item on the base provided and build the sides and lid around it.
Machine Based Flat-Pack
Machine Base flat pack has the added convenience of cheaper delivery to site as we are able to transport larger amounts within a smaller capacity. In addition, they will not use too much room on-site when delivered and can therefore be stored in preparation for packing.
Closed boarded timber cases are normally lined to prevent moisture seepage between timber boards with in transit. This is an internal lining that cannot be seen when the case is completed.
A barrier foil bag is used to protect the item from moisture ingress during shipment. Once the item is covered, it is heat sealed and the air is extracted. This method is primarily used for items containing electronic equipment and circuitry.
A high density foam is used to protect delicate items during transit. This could range from 200 year old grandfather clocks to lab equipment. Once the item has been secured within the case with foam-lined brace bars, a foam-lined lid is secured.
The primary use of shrink-wrapping is to serve as a secured dustsheet. Once the item has been secured to the base, it is heat shrunk. Any smaller unsecured items are automatically held in place by this technique.
Made for the purpose of shipping cylindrical components on their sides. These bases and accompanying scoops were manufactured to carry 500Kg+ weights. Once the items were safely landed within the foam-lined scoops, they were fully incased for their voyage.
We load well in excess of 100 containers per year and our accrued knowledge ensures we will load to maximise your potential with minimal space loss.
We also specialise in loading cars, maintaining a packing standard that will see your car arrive at its destination in the condition in which we received it.
